Police Vehicle Attempting Stunt Runs Over Officer

A police vehicle on Tuesday ran over an officer’s leg while attempting to perform a stunt.
The incident occurred while the officers were celebrating after the outgoing Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, announced that there was a new directive from the police headquarters Abuja that status quo was to be maintained.
Channels Television had reported on Sunday that the police authorities directed Mr Kayode Egbetokun to take over from Imohimi as police commissioner in Lagos.

Imohimi was then redeployed to the Force Headquarters in Abuja as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Explosive Ordinance Unit.
He, however, told the reporters who were at the command headquarters to witness the handover and takeover ceremony between him and Mr Egbetokun today that the ceremony would no longer hold.
Afterwards, Mr Egbetokun departed the command headquarters with his own convoy, amidst jubilation from Imohimi’s men, who fired in the air.
It was during the celebrations that one of the police drivers attempted a stunt with his vehicle, but one of his colleagues fell off and in the process, the car ran over his leg.
