Fulani Herdsmen Share Pictures of Their Members Killed In Plateau, Buhari Reacts

There are always two side to every story, while we all are sharing pictures of victims of Killer Herdsmen in Miango Bassa LGA, the Fulani Community are also sharing their own victims too.

Meanwhile, President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the killing of at least 20 persons in Plateau State, adding that the madness in the state has gone far.

The President has therefore ordered the military and other security agencies, like Police to bring an end to the senseless killing.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said Buhari was devoted to the sanctity of Nigeria’s unity, and he encourages Nigerians of all groups to learn to live together in peace and harmony.

The statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari has received with deep sadness and regret, news of the recent killings of at least 20 people in Plateau State, during what has been described as a reprisal attack by some herdsmen.

“President Buhari believes that this madness has gone too far. He has instructed the military and the police to not only bring the violence to an instant end, but to draw up a plan to ensure that there are no further attacks and reprisal attacks by one group against the other.

“President Buhari is devoted to the sanctity of Nigeria’s unity, and he encourages Nigerians of all groups to learn to live together in peace and harmony.

“He commiserates with the governor and people of Plateau State, and with those who lost their loved ones, friends and family: May God comfort them as only He can.”

Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong imposed curfew in the state capital and others for security reasons and safety of its residence.

Barely 24 hours of imposition, Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen on Saturday after attacking residence in Taagbe village near Kent Academy in Bassa Local Government Areas of Plateau State, killed no fewer than six persons, houses burnt down.

A community leader said that “the attacks was deadly, God should intervene and save us from these Fulani boys.

The Fulani herdsmen attacked the villagers at midnight in there large number and struck heavily, killing six persons.

casualties may likely to increase because the attack seems to be the deadliest in recent times, as they set ablaze six houses in a period they declared war against us.

The Plateau State Police Command Spokesperson, Matthias Tyopev, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, confirmed the attack.

“There was an attack in a village in the Bassa LGA, Plateau State, by yet-to-be-identified gunmen. Six persons were killed and several houses burnt in the incident which took place last night (Saturday).”

On Friday, Lalong had imposed an indefinite dusk-to-dawn curfew in the Bassa LGA between 6pm and 6am.

He had also ordered a search and security enforcement operation in the hotbeds of ethnic and religious crises in the state.

The decision was contained in a statement issued in Jos on Friday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Samuel Nanle.
