Group rallies support for Buhari/Osinbajo ticket
By A group, the Concerned Omoluabi Caucus, on Thursday called on the Yoruba nation to stand firmly in support of the Buhari-Osinbajo ticket in the election holding in the country on Saturday, declaring that the exercise was extremely crucial for every Yoruba son and daughter.
The group made the call in a signed statement by its convener, Dr Olu McGinnis Otubusin, a Houston-based lawyer and former President of Egbe Omo Yoruba, North America, saying that a win for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would take the Yoruba out of the mainstream for at least 24 years.

Otubusin, who was the first Legal Secretary and Second National President of Egbe Omo Yoruba, North America, therefore, urged all Yorubas to vote wisely.
Speaking on the objective of the organisation, he said: “The group works for a constitutional arrangement and political restructuring in which the Yoruba nation, along with other nationalities in Nigeria, has an unfettered autonomy that will advance the development of Yoruba civilisation as well as those of other nationalities; and use all legitimate mental and material resources of Yoruba people worldwide to advance the realisation of cultural, economic, and political autonomy for the Yoruba within the context of a multi-ethnic Nigerian democratic state.”
