Three killed in fresh crisis in Kaduna, curfew imposed
By Three persons were reportedly killed and several others injured on Friday in a fresh crisis that erupted in Kasuwan Magani, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Kasuwan Magani has been a flashpoint in the last one year.
In reaction to this latest security threat, the state government announced the imposition of a 24-hour curfew on Kajuru Local Government Area.

Speaking on the incident, Samuel Aruwan, Senior Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) to Governor Nasir el-Rufai, said the imposition of the curfew was to avert further breakdown of law and order and to prevent the crisis from spreading to neighbouring villages in the local government.
He urged citizens to comply and support the efforts of the government and security agencies at ensuring peace and stability in the community.
The state government had earlier beefed up security in Kajuru to contain the killings.
It was gathered that trouble started in Kasuwan Magani on Thursday night when aggrieved youths in the area clashed and destroyed properties. No life was reported lost.
An eyewitness told Saturday Tribune that on Friday, a clash between Christian and Muslim youths resulted in the death of three persons.
“It was a serious fight. The elders could not do anything as the sound of gunshots rent everywhere. We had to run for our lives,” the witness said.
As of the time of this report, security personnel comprising soldiers and policemen had been deployed in the area.
