Is a daily bath necessary?

I am a Cosmologist, and by the nature of my profession, very keen on beauty regimes for women. One of the causes of dry skin is the habit of taking bath every day. From my experience, I don’t think that a daily bath is necessary. Kindly advise me on this.

Yes, you are correct. It has been established that unless a person by reason of occupation or health reasons is always sweaty or grimy and needs to shower more often, daily baths are not necessary. Apart from causing skin problems or other health issues, a lot of water is also wasted. Also, the oils, perfumes, and other additives in shampoos, conditioners, and soaps may cause problems of their own, such as allergic reactions (not to mention their cost). While there is no ideal frequency, experts suggest that once in a while, short baths (lasting three or four minutes) with a focus on the armpits and groin may suffice. Although some people may be addicted to the habit of daily bath, it may be a habit worth breaking.
