French Ambassador Visits Oyo Governor-Elect To Boost Bilateral Relations
The French Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Pasquire Jerome on Wednesday visited the Oyo State Governor-elect, Mr Seyi Makinde.
The visit follows Makinde’s plans to embrace initiatives from local and foreign investors with a view to bringing development to the state.
The governor-elect told the French delegation that state is blessed with vast land and natural resources needed to be tapped for the interest of the state, especially in the area of human development and agriculture to create employment.

“Oyo State in land mass is actually about the size of Belgium. We have derived Savannah in the north and all the way down to the rain forest in the south. We may by default by blending for the entire country,” he stated.
Responding, the French Ambassador said his country is willing to develop both economic and political relationship with Nigeria and especially Oyo State in different fields.
According to him, France has many companies willing to do businesses in Nigeria.
