According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), there are about 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 and 24 – the largest youth population. Many of them are concentrated in developing countries. In fact, in forty-eight of the least developed countries, children or adolescents make up a majority of the population.

Project 17 aims to teach adolescents about the Sustainable Development Goals and to have more young people acting on the goals.

Project 17 is organizing a children event this Saturday May 26th.It is the perfect event for a fun family day filled with learning and the discussion of important social problems.

The event, which will take place on the 26th of May at the Osbourne School Complex, will host 300 public school students in Lagos state to teach them on Sustainable Development Goals and also how to be part of the SDGs Challenge. The aim is to encourage more young people to act on the goals, through interactive lessons tailored to suit various adolescent age groups, learners will get to understand what the Global Goals for Sustainable Development are, why they are important and how they relate to them. This is the perfect event for families, young children and teenagers.

Venue: Osborne School complex, Ikoyi.
