Labour leaders in Benue state, have called on the Federal Government to review the revenue sharing formula, to enable states to pay the proposed N56,000 minimum wage.

The chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress in the state, Comrade Godwin Anya, made the call on Thursday while addressing journalists in Makurdi as workers commenced the nationwide warning strike declared by the national bodies of the organised labour unions.

According to him, the current sharing formula of 52% per cent of the total earnings in favour of the Federal government, makes it almost impossible for states to pay the proposed N56,000 wage.

He also stressed that state like Zamfara, Osun, Kogi and Benue still battle to pay N18,000 to workers.
