2019 polls: APP group drums support for Obi/Ekwunife victory
By AHEAD of the February 16, 2019 Presidential and National Assembly elections, a group known as Atiku Presidency Project (APP), have drummed support for the running mate of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Mr Peter Obi and the Anambra Central Senatorial Candidate for Senate, Senator Uche Ekwunife ticket respectively on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
This, the groups said became necessary due to their yearnings for peaceful and prosperous Anambra stressing that the current APGA led government in the state has failed the people.
The APP group stated this during a prayer session organised by Senator Uche Ekwunife campaign organisation held at the Uche Ekwunife Event Centre, along Enugu-Onitsha expressway Awka, in preparation for the flag off of her campaign, scheduled for December first week 2018.
The group led by its Director, Dr Patrick Enuneku who lamented over neglect by the current government of President Mohammadu Buhari, however, assured Mr Peter Obi and Sen. Ekwunife of their unflinching support towards the victory of the party in the state, even as they appealed for recognition in the execution of projects in future time.

The group also expressed joy over the choice and combination of Atiku/Obi for Presidency and Sen Uche Ekwunife as the Anambra central senatorial district PDP candidates respectively in the forthcoming elections.
According to the group, Our ultimate concern is about the victory of the party at all levels in the state, because we are tired slavery, joblessness, and lack of focus towards the development of Anambra State. It is, therefore, our responsibility to
channel our strength and doggedness to vote the deceiving APC and APGA government and retrieve the stolen mandates for the sake of our future and that of the generations to come.
Other Speakers also described PDP as the only party that can better protect the interest of masses even as they urged Anambra people to support the party to emerge victorious at the polls.
In her response, Senator Uche Ekwunife thanked the groups for the support, commitment, dedication and for making her worthy as the best candidate to win the Anambra central senatorial election, stressing that there is always victory in unity.
She said that the Atiku/Obi ticket will not disappoint the people of Anambra, adding that the duo are both men of God
and have names and integrity to protect.
She, therefore, solicits sincere supports from the people and assured them of maximum involvement in governance under the PDP led government in Anambra State as a grassroots politician who knows where shoes pinch the masses.
