Air Peace flight to Enugu returns to Lagos
By Flight P47100 operated by Air peace from Lagos to Enugu returned to Lagos Monday thirty minutes into the flight after reports of heavy harmattan haze in Enugu.
BusinessDay learnt that the pilot decided to return to Lagos after weather reports showed that the weather in Enugu was not safe for landing.
The flight which was full had taken off from the old wing of the domestic airport in Lagos and the cabin crew were already serving breakfast aboard the plane when the pilot aborted the trip and headed back to Lagos.
The plane is now at the Lagos airport waiting for word from Enugu.
In Enugu motorists had complained Monday morning of very poor visibility and they drove from their homes early in the morning.
