JUST IN: Buhari, Atiku sign peace accord + PHOTOS
By President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) joined other key political actors to sign a peace accord to validate the one signed earlier by the parties with the president emphasising that the neutrality of the security agencies is key to the successful conduct of the coming elections.
The accord signing, which was put together by the National Peace Committee led by former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and was witnessed by the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, Felicia Scotland, at the Abuja International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The president said: “Our Security Agencies have been fully briefed and they know that their visible neutrality is key to the conduct, credibility, and success of the elections.”
