No fewer than 72000  candidates will tomorrow, Saturday, sit for the 2019 national common entrance examination for admission into the 104 federal government colleges across the country.

The examination will be conducted, as usual, by the National Examinations Council (NECO) and all primary six pupils in both the private and public schools nationwide are eligible, if willing, to sit for the exam and secure admission into any of the unity colleges of their choice.

The Head of Information and Public Relations Division of NECO, Mr. Azeez Sani, in an exclusive conversation with Saturday Tribune on Friday, said the council had fully prepared to conduct a hitch-free exam across the designated centers.

He noted that a total of 72, 720 candidates were so far registered as of two weeks ago when the exam was postponed.

“And more have registered and we still expect more candidates to register since registration is ongoing till the commencement of the exam,” he added.

Sani, however, warned the students and the invigilators to ensure they go by the rules of the exam as the council has zero tolerance for malpractice.
