Insecurity holding Nigeria by the jugular
By Just like the musician, Asa sang, there is fire on the mountain and no one seems to be on the run. It is apparent that insecurity in Nigeria is at its most heightened state. Killings, kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery and others are on the rise daily. The citizens are living in fear every day and the country is gradually turning into a state of anarchy; but it seems that the men at the helms of affairs are doing less to nothing in ending this rampaging menace of insecurity.
They have shut their eyes to this problem simply because they are heavily guarded and their immediate families are in safe countries. Selfish fellows! They keep lying to the citizens about everything in a believable way; for gullible minds though.

The president’s comment of the Inspector General of Police losing weight is highly ridiculous and uncalled for at this time that the country is bleeding and Nigerians are losing loved ones to avoidable deaths and other unfortunate incidents. Our leaders should bury their heads in shame.
The latest raid of military bases by insurgents is very shameful and totally dissenting to the army’s claim of decimating the terrorists. What are our security agencies turning into? They name operations every day like new born babies without anything to show for it. Is it true that our gallant soldiers at the warfront are toothless dogs who have the way but are denied the will by unscrupulous elements who are benefitting largely from this bloodshed? Is it true that these elements do not want insecurity to end in our country? We have never had it so bad and it begs the question; how did we get here?
Insecurity is tightening its hold by the country’s jugular and if urgent care is not taken, she might be choked to death.
