APC

The Chief Whip, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Rotimi Abiru, said that Nigerians will be the eventual beneficiaries of the emergence of Senator Ahmed Lawan as Senate president and Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker of the House of Representatives, in terms of development and people-oriented legislation.

Abiru representing Shomolu Constituency 2 in the State Assembly said this in his goodwill message as he congratulated the duo on their hard-won victory, describing it as well deserved.

According to him, the emergence of Lawan and Gbajabiamila was a result of their cognate experience, teamwork and leadership quality they have built over the years.

“Nigerians will be the eventual beneficiaries of these victories in terms of development and people-oriented legislation.

“I can confidently say that we have left the era of individual and personal interest that has set the nation back for years. The nation is bigger than any individual interest,” Abiru said.

“The two personalities’ emergence as the leaders of National Assembly will make Nigeria proud and help the President Muhammed Buhari led administration,” the lawmaker added.

Abiru also congratulated Lagosians and the people of Surulere Federal Constituency for producing Hon. Gbajabiamila, who has now become number four man in the country.
