Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called for an independent judicial panel of enquiry to investigate Tuesday’s invasion of the National Assembly by security operatives, stressing that those responsible for the act should face the law.

Atiku stated this in a statement, while also commending the acting President, Yemi Osibanjo, for sacking the Director General of the DSS, Lawal Daura, stressing that such action had shown that the acting President was a listening leader and had fulfilled the yearning of Nigerians.

“These are delicate timers for Nigerians and all lovers’ of democracy and the rule of law must be extra watchful, lest anti-democratic forces take advantage of all we have worked hard to build”. Atiku said.
