2019: Group rally 5000-man march for Buhari/Osibanjo continuity in Anambra

A political group, Good Governance Ambassadors of Nigeria(GOGAN), Anambra State chapter, over the weekend in Awka, the Anambra State Capital stage a peaceful rally in support for President Mohammadu Buhari and his Vice, Prof Yemi Osibanjo in office beyond  2019.

The state chairman of the group, Hon Johnbosco Onunkwo who address the group shortly after the rally said they embark on the march to stop the persistent campaign of calumny by opposition forces against President Buhari’s administration and to educates all lovers of good governance in Anambra State.
He said the rally which was attended by all the 21 local government coordinators and other APC supporters in the state would continue until President Buhari emerged victorious come February 16, 2019.
We have started mobilising the youths, particularly in Anambra State which will be extended to the other South East States, purposely for Buhari to guarantee his continuity in office after the 2019 general elections.
According to  Engr Onunkwo, who came third at the party (APC), primaries during the November 18 2017 Anambra Governorship election, maintain that the group is  supporting the present APC’s government and Buhari’s re-election bid  because of the conviction that the man is on the right track especially in waging war against corruption, attention to all Federal roads across the country, creation of over 1.5million Jobs under N-Power programme, School feeding programme, the ongoing second Niger Bridge, among others.
On security challenges bedevilling the country, Hon Onunkwo noted that the blame was not totally on the Federal Government but to the human factors due to environmental variables.
He expressed the need for the group to break the antics of the country’s detractors and ensure total commitment for unity and stability of the nation under President Mohammadu Buhari administration.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians, particularly the Igbo’s for the seek of 2023 Presidency to support Buhari and the ongoing moves by the Federal Government to put the country on total recovery pages.
