“They based their suspension on gross misconduct and abuse of office and after due consultation with all the legal apparatus of the state and that there cannot be vacuum in governance at any level, and as spelt out by the constitution that in circumstances like this, the elected Vice Chairman of that local government area is to take over in acting capacity.

“In line with the suspension of Olamijuwonlo Alao Akala as Chairman, Ogbomoso North local government area and vis-à-vis the four councillors from Ogbomoso North in person of Honourables Olutayo Olawunmi, Oladele Sunday, Oladele Sunday, Alagbe Ayodunmade, and having suspended the Chairman of that local government and in consonance with the constitution of Nigeria and the edict of Oyo State House of Assembly that established local government administration, I hereby present this letter to Honourable Abass Bello, the elected Vice Chairman of Ogbomoso North local government to take over the administration of Ogbomoso North local government in acting capacity with effect from 19th February 2019.”
