Olu of Warri’s palace chaplain urges youths to use their talents for God
By Resident pastor of the Church of God Mission in the palace of the Olu of Warri, Rev. Emmanuel Atigolo, has admonished Christian youths to deploy their talents in serving God and not for pecuniary gains.
He made the plea while fielding questions from Sunday Tribune after a special worship service with the theme: “Blessings of the First Fruit” at the palace church auditorium with the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Ikenwoli and his family in attendance.
Rev. Atigolo, whose ministration was preceded by a song ministration by a Warri-based gospel artiste, Segun Gold aka S.Gold, enjoined Christian youths to expend their talents in the service of God and expect great dividends in return.
The pastor, who described the song ministration of S.Gold as spirit-lifting, said the palace church was out to encourage budding gospel talents to fulfill their destiny in God.
“You know I have been listening to his songs for quite some time now and I will say he is a very good singer. God is doing something great in this young Man’s life through the songs he sings.”
“All his ministrations are spiritually loaded. He is a spirit-filled singer; each time I listened to his ministrations, my spirit is always lifted. That’s why I always invite him to my church,” the cleric asserted.”

He advised youths with great talents in the body of Christ to eschew worldliness and stay focused on God as S.Gold is doing.
“My advice to him is that he should stay focused and stay on the right track. You know, sometimes it’s difficult to see youths like this who want to use their talents for God.”
“Some would want to use it for secular songs, doing all manner of worldly songs and the rest. But S.Gold has chosen to use his own talent to adore the Almighty God so he should keep it up.”
“He should allow God to complete what he has started in his life, remain in the light, and above all he should fear God,” he admonished.”
The cleric enjoined Nigerians to maintain the ongoing peace and should not make themselves available for use by agents of violence and disunity.
S.Gold brought down the presence of God during his ministration with his latest single: “Power Flow.”
