Court remands 3 applicants for stealing cell phone worth 55,000 pending sentence
An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday ordered that three applicants, who stole a cell phone worth N55, 000 be remanded in police custody, pending sentencing.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr A.A. Fashola, remanded Mohammed Abubakar, 25; Mike Simeon, 27 and Emmanuel Michael, 20, after they pleaded guilty to stealing a cell phone.
Fashola adjourned the case until June 20 for judgment.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Michael Unah told the court that the defendants accosted the complainant, Miss Damilola Fajimi and collected her Infinix Hot 5 worth N55,000.
Unah told the court that the defendants committed the offence with others at large on April 30 about 9.20 p.m. at Lekki Phase I, Lagos.
The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015, (Revised)
