Super Eagles ready and excited to play Croatia – Rohr
By Ahead of the much anticipated game against Croatia, Super Eagles’ Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has assured Nigerians that the Super Eagles are prepared and excited to deliver against Croatia in their opening Group D match at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night at the Kaliningrad stadium.
Speaking at a press conference in Kaliningrad stadium, Rohr said it’s a new challenge playing Croatia for the first time and playing Argentina again at the World Cup, but confident Nigeria will progress from the group.
“The challenge for us is to qualify from the group; it’s always exciting to play against a country for the first time.
“We know the importance of getting a good result. It is important that we set out well, and we have been doing our best to be in good condition, ” said Rohr.
“Now that we are here, the players are in the right mood and ready for Croatia. We will do what is necessary,’’ he said.
Rohr revealed that injuries were not the team’s worries at the moment, but how to get it right during the game.
“What we need to worry about is how to get our tactics right, and I am confident that we have done all that is necessary in this regard.’’
